Designer’s blog with an attitude
Our old friend Aaron sent us word of a great link. normann copenhagen is “a design company - with an opinion” and a passion for plastic dogs. The blog shows interesting views from around the world and doesn’t hold its punches when it comes to saying what it thinks of what it sees.
The safety scissors particularly caught my attention - a great example of pointless packaging.
Check it out for some examples of good and bad design around Copenhagen and the globe.

Okay, so the site is a bit random. But inspiring! I guess this is what social media is all about - getting people to share all sorts of bizarre ideas with others in a forum that makes the random make sense.
And that got me thinking: why don’t we create a “Spotted by Eye for Image” forum and ask our bloggers and readers to photograph and upload images of texts that catch their eye. Whether it’s graffiti or odd signage, it’s fun to see it all compiled in one place.
I’d start with my photograph of the massive banner hanging in central Aalborg that reads “F#”*ing Aalborg!” and add that to the Danish F-word phenomenon scrapbook.

Funny you should say that, AP. For odd signage, you could try:
