Eye for Image goes to the races

Along with almost everyone else in Copenhagen it seems, the Eye for Image team took part in the DHL Relay in Fælledparken this week.

Special mention to David, Nathalie, Andrew, Mandy and Matt for actually running while the rest of us huddled in the tent drinking beers!

Would-be Steven Spielberg Dan has put together a great video of the night, which you can see over at YouTube.

In the meantime, take a look at the gang in action below…

  1. David Hoskin Says:

This was my first time at the DHL run. What a great event! I’ve participated in many ‘fun runs’, such as Denmark’s famous Eremitage Run, but there is something particularly special about this one.

It’s mainly businesses and organizations that participate with one or more teams. So it’s clear that many use it as a sort of teambuilding event. That’s great in itself, but what makes this unique is that all these different companies are teambuilding at the same time, in the same place, and in the same way.

As a participant, you can’t help but observe the positive energy (even after the run) emanating from everyone. There is a real sense of togetherness. Remembering that this is a business event, I think it says something about the way Danes do business together. Of course, work is serious stuff, but the Danes are good at balancing professional life with fun.

Of course, just about every company uses the event to promote itself in one way or another. And why not? The group with the biggest bang this year - on the day we participated - was clearly the Novo group: Novo Nordisk , NNE and NNIT. Apart from making it around the 5 km course in a reasonable time, it was no mean feat dodging all the red, blue or white t-shirts!

So, maybe next year we’ll start training a little earlier and see how many more Novo people we can show the back of our t-shirts to!
