As the brothers Heath point out in their excellent book Made to Stick, people often suffer a kind of paralysis when given too much choice. The result is that they fail to make any decision at all. This paralysis is multiplied when a group has to decide something together. So, I’m with you – hire an interior designer and just do whatever they say!
